Hundreds of actuarial professionals move between South Africa, the UK, Australia and the rest of the world every year. For this very reason we started our business. We believe that we can provide a 360degree relocation solution to these professionals and in doing so, provide South African, UK, Australian and other employers with a constant stream of highly talented, dedicated and experienced individuals.

We not only offer a unique and professional service to candidates that want to move to other countries, but we have also established ourselves as one of the leading actuarial recruitment firms in South Africa over the last couple of years. We deal with all the major employers in South Africa and the feedback we’ve had from both employers and candidates have been amazing. The general consensus is that having a fully qualified actuary involved in the recruitment process is beneficial to both the candidates and the employer.

Who we are
 

Wilhelm qualified as an actuary in 2004 and co-founded SA3 (South African Actuaries Abroad) with his wife Helena in 2005.

He has 8 years of Life and Pensions experience in both the South African and UK markets, gained at some of the major insurers in both countries.

Wilhelm has managed the business (with Helena and later Henda) since inception and the knowledge and contacts he brings to the business are invaluable.  He is also an examiner at the Actuarial Society for the Modelling Course.

His wife and three children take up most of his spare time, but besides that, he is a keen traveller. His hobbies include any sport that is played with a ball and he makes a mean Cappuccino.

Henda (FIA, FASSA) joined the SA3 team in 2009 after working as an actuary in the industry for 13 years. She qualified in 2001 and worked in life and health insurance at a major South African insurer.

She and her family relocated to Australia for a period where she worked in general insurance at a major Australian insurance company before she joined the SA3 business. Since joining SA3, she has been helping the Actuarial Society as an examiner for the Modelling Course.

Henda is married and loves spending time outdoors with her husband and children.

Lidelle joined the SA3 team in July 2013 and has made an immediate impact.


She studied Tourism Management at the Central University of Technology Free State and passed Cum Laude. 


With six years’ experience in Hospitality and Sales, the transition into recruitment and the SA3 team went smoothly.


She is dedicated and precise, but enjoys interaction with other people. She has a good listening ear and positive outlook in life.


Lidelle is married to Johan and enjoys MTB cycling, photography and horse riding in her spare time

    

 

Martie has joined our expanding team in July 2013 as Henda’s personal assistant. She completed her Diploma in Executive Assistant (IAC of SA) in 2000.
 
Martie loves spending time with her family doing outdoor activities such as mountain biking and camping.
 

 

 

 

 

Helena is a qualified Occupational Therapist and has practiced in both South Africa and the UK. She co-founded SA3 (South African Actuaries Abroad) with her husband, Wilhelm, in 2005.
 
She has a passion for people and while she’s not involved in the daily activities of our business these days, her strategic input is always valued. Her number one priority is her family and she enjoys traveling, … only marginally less than educational children’s toys.
