Our client is an actuarial consulting firm that offers a wide range of life and non-life business consulting and audit services. They are looking for a Non-Life Actuarial Director to join their team in Dublin.

Candidates who are interested should have at least 8 years’ post-qualification experience in non-life insurance/reinsurance or consultancy, preferably with IFRS 17 or related experience. You should have excellent technical and analytical skills. You should have non-life actuarial software experience (e.g. RESQ), as well as previous experience in managing teams and delivering projects. You should have experience in at least two of the following areas: IFRS 17, Solvency II, financial reporting or capital and risk management.

Responsibilities will include:

• Successfully delivering and managing actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including both the relationship with clients and the performance of the internal team.
• Driving the production of client deliverables, with an emphasis on quality and teaming.
• Assisting with the management and development of more junior colleagues.
• Participating in the research and development required to support the growth of their fields of expertise.
• Adopting an account management mind-set and identifying client-specific needs.
• Working across a broad range of projects as part of both the assurance and business consulting practices.
• Developing a network by working on multi-disciplinary projects across different service lines.
