
Full Description:
Our client is a local bank with regional and international expertise. They are looking for a Chief Financial Officer. This role will direct and provide thought leadership to financial management in line with the Group’s strategies and will define and own the end-to-end value chain of finance bringing this and the actuarial value chains together, ensuring consistent capabilities and integration across products, business lines and corporate functions for the respective insurance entities focused on shareholder value.
Candidates who are interested should be a Qualified Actuaries with at least 12 years of experience in financial management, including more than 5 years in people management roles. You should have extensive senior leadership experience, as well as experience in Board and Board committee relationship management.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the financial planning, analysis, reporting, and control functions.
- Ensuring full compliance with IFRS 17, embedding new processes across finance and actuarial teams.
- Driving insight into insurance contract profitability, risk-adjusted performance, and policyholder behaviour through enhanced IFRS 17 reporting.
- Aligning financial and actuarial strategy with business growth, capital efficiency, and solvency targets.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders, regulators, auditors, and boards on all financial and regulatory matters.
- Leading transformation initiatives including system upgrades, data governance, and finance and actuarial operating model optimisation.
- Supporting strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance arrangements, product development, and market entry or exit decisions.
