Our client is a multinational professional services provider offering audit, tax, and advisory services to a diverse range of clients worldwide. They are looking for a Manager in their Credit Risk and Capital Management team. This technical specialist role assists in the auditing and development of credit risk models (IFRS9, scorecards, etc.), but also assists the Senior Manager with responsibilities regarding the planning, organisation and quality control of projects. 

Candidates who are interested should be a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary with at least five years’ experience in a quantitative credit risk-based role. You should be well versed in contemporary statistical techniques and practices in credit risk modelling. You should have relevant experience with modern computing languages related to credit risk modelling (e.g. SAS, Python, or R). You should possess strong organisational and time-management skills, have experience in managing teams, coaching and mentoring junior staff and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines. You should also have good presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical individuals. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Developing and reviewing credit risk models both for provisioning and regulatory capital requirement purposes. 
• Giving support with managing projects in the planning/budgeting, execution and close-out phases. 
• Assisting with the coding and automation of financial risk management models. 
• Participating in building a coaching culture aimed at getting the best out of others in an environment where everyone in the team feels empowered to speak up or challenge where appropriate.
