
Full Description:
Our client is a South African commercial risk specialist. They are looking for a Senior Corporate Actuarial Analyst to join their team. This role is responsible for reserving and capital analytic and reporting tasks.
Candidates who are interested should be a Senior Actuarial Student with at least 5 years’ relevant experience. You should be an should be an energetic problem solver with experience in delivering work within timelines demanded by corporate reporting calendar. You should be an experienced user of reserving and capital modelling software such as Psicle and ResQ.
Responsibilities will include:
- Extracting, collating and transforming data.
- Running models, exporting results, and collating reports, while adhering to all process governance and quality assurance requirements.
- Preparing quarterly reserve and profitability review reports and presenting findings at relevant governance meetings chaired by CFO.
- Preparing quarterly and annual; solo and group; qualitative and quantitative regulatory returns.
- Helping to compile and prepare the company’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (“ORSA”). With specific responsibility for the Risk Tolerance Statement, Stress and Scenario Testing, and Solvency Projections.
- Participating in the calculation of Solvency Capital Requirements, reviewing Asset-Liability Management and the risk-based allocation of capital to the various business units.
- Supporting the annual reinsurance programme renewal with various analyses and data extractions.
