Full Description:

Our client is a leading provider of services and products to the healthcare sector. They are looking for a Qualified Actuary to manage their Group Strategy team. This role will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the Group. 

Candidates who are interested should have at least 8 years’ experience in strategic planning, management consulting or in a similar role, preferably in a large, complex organisation or management consulting firm. You should have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic plans, including operating model reviews and execution, as well as exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to turn analysis into actionable strategies. You should also have strong leadership and project management abilities and be capable of motivating and guiding a team (both direct and indirect) in a high-pressure environment.  

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading the development and refinement of the group’s strategic plan and long-term goals.  
  • Conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and strategic risks.  
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including finance, marketing, operations and product development to ensure that strategic goals are integrated across the group.  
  • Driving execution of strategic projects, ensuring that they meet time, budget and quality expectations.  
  • Communicating strategic insights and recommendations to the group and stakeholders.  
  • Monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.  
  • Developing and maintaining relationship with key external partners, including consultants, industry experts and potential business partners.
