Full Description:

Our client is a specialty insurer and reinsurer focusing primarily on risks located in Africa, across all lines of business. They are looking for a Treaty Pricing Analyst. This role works closely with both Actuarial and Underwriting teams to assist in pricing and exposure management of treaty reinsurance.

Candidates who are interested must be a Senior Actuarial Student with at least 4 years’ experience in treaty pricing and general insurance. You should be proactive and independent, with the ability to drive projects forward with oversight. You should have strong communication skills and the ability to discuss, explain and justify results with different stakeholders. You should have a logical approach to solving problems and the ability to balance commercial decisions and technical analysis.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and maintenance of XoL and QS Treaty Pricing models.
  • Producing pricing recommendations based on thorough, data-driven modelled assessment of risks.
  • Communicating results of analysis directly with Treaty Underwriters and the Director of Underwriting.
  • Contributing to the production of management information to assist in monitoring price adequacy.
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining the Treaty Exposure Management Framework.
  • Producing exposure dashboards and clash-monitoring tools to enable effective aggregate monitoring and line size deployment.
  • Assisting with the design and monitoring of RDS scenarios, specifically for Lloyds, but applicable across the Group.
