EB Valuations Actuary – SA1233

Our client is an ever-growing life insurance company that provides innovative risk assurance to individual clients. They are looking for a Nearly / Newly Qualified Actuary to join their Employee Benefits Valuations team. The role will require you to assist the team in taking ownership of key reporting responsibilities and the associated analysis pertaining to assumptions and results.  

Candidates who are interested should have at least 4 years’ experience in an actuarial field. Having experience as an Actuarial Analyst in the Life Insurance or Employee Benefits space would be advantageous. You must be an excellent communicator with the ability to solve problems and think analytically. SQL and Prophet experience is also advantageous. 

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Taking ownership of the monthly actuarial experience process and producing reports for the head of the team and other senior management to inform their decision-making. 
  • Semi-annual, in-depth experience analyses to assist with setting assumptions. 
  • Developing and maintaining the existing models and process to drive efficiencies and ensure that all methodologies and assumptions remain relevant and up to date. 
  • Maintaining and updating data controls and systems. 
  • Assisting with assumptions for quarterly regulatory reporting and semi-annual financial reporting. 
  • Working with other teams across the business to improve data and client experience metrics.
