Actuary: Actuarial Reporting Consolidation – SA1456

Our client is a leading provider of a comprehensive range of financial solutions. They are looking for a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary to join their Reporting Consolidation team. This role is responsible for consolidating valuation results with the purpose of extracting business insights and presenting these to senior management. 

Candidates who are interested should be a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary. You should have experience in an actuarial reporting environment including IFRS, EV, VNB and SAM bases. You should have strong analytical and conceptual thinking, as well as technical and operational ability. You must be able to work independently and meet deadlines. You should have good verbal and written communication skills, pay attention to detail and be an effective communicator of technical information. 

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Analysing company earnings.  
  • Consolidation and reporting of embedded value (EV) results.  
  • Consolidating and delivering EV sensitivities.  
  • Providing EV information to various parties.  
  • Compiling the valuation basis report for the company’s board.  
  • Maintaining valuation bases and documents.  
  • Calculation and checking of monthly prices for the legacy business.  
  • Monthly cash flows.  
  • Consolidation and analysis as well as reporting of value of new business (VNB).  
  • Embedding of IFRS17 reporting processes and understanding of results.
