Head: Impact Analytics – SA1471

Our client is a newly established digital first business. They are looking for a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary to head the financial impact capability within their Strategy, Product and Business Development team. The Head of Impact Analytics will harness the actuarial, data science, valuations, and software skills available to measure and track the performance of various Rewards and Loyalty initiatives across the Group. This will enable the business to optimise its investment through the measurement and adjustment of products and behavioural science tools. 

Candidates who are interested should have at least 2 years’ experience in life and/or short-term insurance and a demonstrated history of applying actuarial science valuation concepts in a business environment. You should also have experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages when managing data, such as R, Python and SQL, as well as experience in visualising/presenting data for stakeholders. You should be problem solver who is analytical and organised. You should be a self-starter who enjoys working with teams, with an open and honest communication and pro-active approach. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Compiling stakeholder reports on rewards and loyalty key performance indicators, ROI on investment of businesses, engagement and reach for different client groups. 
• Analytical and financial modelling of strategies including the management of loyalty benefits and pricing models. 
• Ensuring that rewards concepts are adequately priced and valued.  
• Performing analytical studies for other functional areas as required. 
• Measuring and monitoring the group-wide loyalty and rewards initiatives including the impact of growth, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. 
• Assisting the business to measure and monitor the success of using AI and analytics to identify and execute on these opportunities. 
• Measuring and monitoring the performance of insurance products.
