Head of Data Insights – SA1461

Our client is a premium African financial services organisation that offers a broad spectrum of financial solutions. They are looking for a Newly or Nearly Qualified Actuary to head their Data Insights team. The responsibility of this role is to lead the transformation towards an insights-driven channel led organisation by evolving the company’s analytics capability in the quest to automate standard reporting and to enable self-service insights. 

Candidates who are interested should have at least 5 years’ experience in conceptual, logical and physical data analytics in the Insurance Industry and 3 years in managing a data analytics team. You should have a solid knowledge of statistical software such as SAS, SPSS or R/Python as well as data query languages such as SAS, SQL and VBA.  

Responsibilities will include: 

• Leading the transformation to an insights-driven channel led organisation by evolving the analytics capability. 
• Driving change methodology and ensuring implementation across all projects. 
• Continuous improvement to ensure effective service 
• Service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction 
• Ensuring cost efficiency through financial and corporate governance.
