Head of Retail Pricing – SA1460

Our client is a full-services reinsurer that meets a wide range of life and health needs. They are looking for an experienced senior Qualified Actuary to join their Pricing team as Head of Retail Pricing. 

Candidates who are interested should have at least 10 years’ experience and at least 3 of them in pricing individual life products. Reinsurance experience is preferred. You must have people management and development experience and be accountable, client-centric, innovative, purpose driven and trustworthy, with the ability to execute. You should also have strong collaboration and project management skills. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Pricing individual life risk and financial reinsurance deals. 
• Project managing pricing tenders and collaborating with business development actuaries, underwriters and claims managers in product development for individual life benefits. 
• Maintaining and developing the pricing models such as Axis datasets. 
• Supporting business development actuaries in presentation of pricing tenders to clients and showcasing technical expertise. 
• Ongoing management of the individual life in-force book ensuring required profitability. 
• Managing and developing a team of actuarial analysts. 
• Enhancing and executing the agreed pricing process.
