Healthcare Consulting Actuary – SA1468

Our client is a leading consulting firm. They are looking for a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary to join their Actuarial Consulting team in Dubai. This role is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of a diverse range of consulting activities across multiple countries in the Middle East including pricing and reserving, development and review of mandatory benefit packages, and implementation of value-based reimbursement mechanisms, including DRGs. 

Candidates who are interested should have at least 3 years’ actuarial experience, with a substantial part of the experience in health-related work. You should have strong experience in statistical analysis tools such as SAS, SQL and R. You should be a self-motivated individual with a sense of intellectual curiosity and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Performing actuarial analysis and modelling on healthcare data. 
• Developing and analysing experience studies and actuarial assumptions. 
• Writing reports that explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience. 
• Preparing and presenting results and recommendations to clients for consideration. 
• Liaising with key client contacts to obtain required data and information to deliver project requirements. 
• Supporting other actuarial students in the completion of technical aspects of actuarial projects. 
• Ensuring adherence to the company’s policies and processes throughout all activities.
