Pricing Senior Manager – SA1445

Our client is a premium African financial services organisation that offers a broad spectrum of financial solutions to retail and corporate customers. They are looking for a Qualified Actuary to join their team as Pricing Senior Manager. This role is responsible for developing and managing the pricing strategy to support the growth and development of the business by using risk-based pricing models across all product sets and distribution mechanisms nationally, as well as for identifying market opportunities and producing business intelligence on underwriting performance and / or profitability of the business. 

Candidates who are interested should be a Qualified Actuary with at least 8 years’ experience working in the general insurance industry and at least 5 years’ experience leading a team of actuarial students. You should have a strong knowledge of GLM pricing techniques.  

Responsibilities will include: 

• Developing and managing the pricing strategy to support the business objectives by means of a risk-based pricing model.  
• Ensuring that project and change initiatives meet objectives on time and in budget by increasing user adoption and proficiency.  
• Implementing change management strategies and plans that maximise user adoption and proficiency and minimise resistance by increasing benefit realisation, value creation, ROI and the achievement of business results and outcomes.  
• Ensuring that statutory and legislative knowledge is always current in order to resolve customer complaints, to advise the business on corrective solutions to mitigate risks and to improve the customer experience while complying with governance requirements.  
• Maintaining service, quality and desired outputs across the business process by ensuring compliance to tactical policies, procedures and standards.  
• Contributing to the development and implementation of fit-for-purpose budgets.
